Welcome to Angels Connect. Stories of hope and inspiration. Angels Connecting and Protecting with your embodied angel host, Tara Hines. I'm sitting in the quiet. I feel flat. Like my energy is gone. It's a regular day. Nothing spectacular, but nothing about it feels light. So I talk to the divine asking for help. Just get me through today because I'm less than my usual self. It's been a year since my mum died, and it feels like part of her is still holding on to me. I notice her mannerisms moving through me. The way I speak, the way I pause. It's like a little part of me is becoming her, or she's not fully letting go. It's so hard to explain that in-between kind of feeling. I'm a psychotherapist. So, in a sense, you're working within parameters, but for a long time I've been skirting around fully embracing my psychic gifts. I sense things before they happen. I've seen spirits, I hear voices that guide me, pull me, they redirect me to where I'm needed most. And there is a healing space. It opens up when I'm with people who are afraid. A calm, a serenity that enters the room when it's needed. And still, I keep asking myself if I'm really ready to leave the safety therapy and step fully into a spiritual way of working. Again, that in-between kind of battle. Am I good enough? Have I learned enough? What will people think if I fully come out? So, yeah, confusion, fear, self-doubt, feeling completely split in two, afraid of being judged, so it's messy. Easter Sunday morning, 2025, it's 5 a.m. and I'm lying in bed on literally three hours sleep when a voice speaks loudly inside me, telling me to go to the once-a-year Dawn service by the sea. Nah, I don't question it. I've learned not to do that, so I just go. As I'm there receiving the host, not from a priest, but from an older laid gentleman. When I open my mouth to say amen, the word hello comes out instead. I freeze, shocked, stuck to the spot. My tongue won't work. I breathe deeply until I finally manage to say amen. I wonder if I've heard my higher self speak aloud. And maybe hello is the new Amen. Afterwards, I walk down to the sea. A man appears out of nowhere, right up close to my right cheek. I look at him, his face is grey, translucent. Like the blood has drained out of his body. And his eyes, his eyes are ancient. Wise. And in that moment, I know he's not of this world. And still I try to make it normal instead of weird. I question whether it really did occur. I pack it down and I keep going. I decide to stay in the therapist role to keep my spiritual experiences private. But then something happens a couple of weeks later. I'm driving towards a sacred island, a place I've been drawn to, feeling like I'm compelled to go where monks once tended a healing well. As I round the bend in the road, a strong vibration rises inside me. I feel it before I can understand it. A narrow lane opens up. It's not in my normal route, but I follow the nudge and I turn in. All of a sudden, three donkeys leap up a hill and run towards the car. I stop and speed to them. Soft and familiar, like we've known each other, like old pals. I think of my parents and the people I've loved that have died. The younger donkey faces the opposite direction, not looking at me, but away from me. As I'm looking and feeling such a welcome from these animals, I wonder just for a second if my parents are here with me. And that little one, is this my brother? And if so, why can't he look at me? That thought lingers until the little donkey raises his head and turns to face me. Tears just roll down my cheeks as I say aloud to my brother, it's okay, it's okay, I'm okay. It's so lovely to see you. I miss you. All the donkeys gather round. Their energy is so happy, alive, and as daft as this seems, it feels like I have received an extra low and another chance to say goodbye. I don't want to leave them because donkeys are my man's favorite animal, and I feel so grateful for this unexpected visit. Further down the hill, an enormous golden, sandy-coloured cow sits on a patch of grass beside the road, and it seemed like all the animals were out. There was a family of ducks crossed in front of me. A rooster yelled from the greystone wall. The light is vibrant. The air feels alive. The sun is shining in the most beautiful big blue sky. And in this moment I'm no longer separate. I'm connected. I'm one with nature, with the rhythm, with the language of the animals. They're talking, and I understand. I make it to the tidal island, and as I reach the water's edge, I begin to chant. Speak a language I don't understand, but I feel it. I know it. Like I've been here before when the blessing of waters was something I knew how to do. This is the moment I stop resisting. The moment I realize I'm not imagining this. I'm remembering. This matters now because I've received my mission from the angels. Angels can and do show up everywhere. Saying hello, a grey spirit, donkeys, ducks, and even in the most beautiful blue skies. Angels are here with us. So I'm here to talk about angels, to let the world know that they're here to help us. Always. And all you have to do is ask. It matters because I've given myself permission to be free. Finally, to be visible, to lead with a heart full of love instead of fear. Now, this is what I do. With the guidance from the angels, I help women move from fear and feeling stressed into love and serenity. I guide them out of worried minds and back into their hearts where loving energy can flow easily. And when fear takes over, I help them feel held and supported. When stress lives in their body, I help them soften into calm. And when they feel alone, I help them to remember they never ever are. This is my work. This is my calling. And I'm finally saying yes to the angels.
